That’s a wrap on the insane endurance race that was this school year, and to celebrate, we’ve got some fun rewards up our sleeve!

It’s been one heck of a year. And for kids across the country, the 2020 to 2021 school year has been challenging to say the least. Not being able to sit in classrooms or see friends and teachers in person is something we’d all rather forget! But now the school year is over, and we are FINALLY able to see the light at the end of the (pandemic) tunnel, we can look forward to exciting days ahead!
To help students recover from a pandemic school year, experts are prescribing fun — lots of fun — and that is something we can totally get behind! We can’t think of a better way to let the good times to roll and celebrate the end of a school year like no other than with these exciting and joy-filled activities and gifts.
1. Run through a finish line banner
Wrapping up the school year is kind of like running towards the finish line of a race — and there’s perhaps no greater sense of victory than when you’ve crossed that finish line tape. Set up a breakaway paper banner across a door frame and have kids run through it to celebrate the momentous occasion!
2. ...Or under a rainbow sprinkler!
School this year may have felt like chasing the end of the rainbow, but YOU did it — and your fans have been cheering you on every step of the way! Celebrate the end of the chase — a.k.a. the school year — by running under a huge inflatable rainbow sprinkler. Once you’ve run beneath the multi-colored arc, breathe a big sigh of relief, and high-five your biggest supporters! You can accomplish whatever you put your mind to — even when it feels impossible.
3. Have a family breakfast outside
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and the end of the school year is a very important occasion! Make it fun with an exciting kid-approved breakfast recipe, like Giant Blueberry-Banana Pancakes or Cinnamon Roll Muffins and take the spread outside to make the day feel extra special! There’s no better way to start the day than with sunshine and good food.
4. Make a summer bucket list
School's out for summer, which means kids have oodles of free time to have some fun! Make sure your summer plan is one for the books by preparing a master list of all the activities you and the fam would like to do. Here are some fun ideas to get you started!
5. Kick off summer with a scavenger hunt
Hide must-have summertime essentials around the house and yard and send the kids on an exciting scavenger hunt. Sunglasses? Check! Sunblock? Check! Good attitude? Check! We can’t wait for the exciting times ahead!
6. Take a last day of school photo
Don’t forget to take a fun photo on your last day of school! Sure, things were massively different this school year, but that’s exactly why you should capture this special day — to remember all the hard work, perseverance, and determination it took to wrap up classes in spite of it all. Get your free printable last day of school sign, and don’t forget to say cheese!
7. Have a dance party!
