Book Your Ticket to the Big Apple With Our Adventurous Virtual Storytime
The author of "Little Kid, Big City! New York" joins us for an intrepid expedition for little kids who are big on discovery.
Everything about New York is big — the buildings, the traffic jams, even the Sunday papers! But there’s no adventure too big for NYC-based author Beth Beckman, whose love of travel and endless curiosity is now a series of children's travel adventure books! Called Little Kid, Big City, the series introduces lovable characters and dozens of different forks in the road so that kids can invent their own travel adventures like never before. The first stop is Beth’s hometown of New York! Ready to book your ticket?
Beth will introduce us to all the people and places from her favorite city in the world at our Virtual Storytime reading at 11 a.m. ET/10 CT on March 14th. Take in the larger-than-life sights and sounds from your couch as we explore some of the city’s secret spots and lesser-known stories.
This is not your average read-aloud! Come ready with your binoculars and selfie sticks because we’re going exploring! We’ll start with a virtual tour of NYC with Counselor Nora and find our way to the top of the Empire State Building by the time we’re finished!
Families will then enjoy storytime with Beth, who will read from her new book Little Kid, Big City! New York. We’ll also meet the book’s illustrator, Holley Maher, who will guide Campers in drawing their own taxi! We’ll wrap up our event with our infamous high-energy dance party, so reserve your spot now!
