It’s possible that Squigz are from another planet – discovered on a secret interplanetary scouting mission – and hidden from sight in Area 51 until the human race was deemed ready to experience them. Because these appear are the building blocks of an alien civilization, inhumanly flexible and able to connect to one another through the forces of suction alone. They also defy gravity (another spacey attribute), sticking to smooth surfaces so you can start your structures in every which direction. Now that we have them, what will we create? Rockets, vehicles, phone holders, a ginormous squid, a hammock for a hamster? Only time will tell.
