The time has finally come. We’ve been stuck inside like hibernating bears, but the sun is shining a little bit brighter, and the weather is getting a little bit warmer so LET’S GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY THIS WEEK!
1. Micro Kickboard Sprite Deluxe 8+ Scooter
A scooter is the most apparent get-out-and-play toy, and with good reason: IT’S WILDLY FUN! The Swiss-designed Micro Kickboard is by far the best on the market. The adjustable handlebar offers stability on turns, while the integrated tube light will keep you safe while riding. Plus, everything on this scooter is replaceable, so it will last as long and go as far as you’re willing to take it!
2. Little Tikes Turtle Sandbox
Every backyard that’s up to snuff needs a good old-fashioned sandbox! Little Tikes has been making their famous turtle sandbox since 1979, and it remains one of the most popular picks. The simple design promotes social play, and all its components are made in the USA (hey, that rhymed)!
3. Ollyball Ultimate Indoor Play Ball
Okay, so it says it's for indoors, but we could really take this wherever we want because it’s just so dang fun. With patented KrunchCOR technology, it only weighs an ounce but still absorbs shock well. If you’re feeling in more of an arts-and-crafts mood, you can even color on it!
4. Twee Chalk Cheesy Pizza Chalk Set
So you’re sitting outside your favorite pizza joint, waiting for a slice. Suddenly, you think to yourself, “man, I wish I could be Michelangelo!” and feel that need to get creative. Bring along these handmade pizza-themed chalks and transform your sidewalk into the Sistine Chapel.
5. Franklin Sports Runaway Bean Bag Toss
The ultimate fun in the sun game for parents and kids alike has been reimagined! This new spin on a classic bean bag toss is motorized and will move back and forth as you play for an added challenge. Play on your own or make teams for extra fun.
6. My First Flybar
Flybar first invented the pogo stick over 100 years ago and is still hopping around today! Now, they have the perfect option for your early pogo-sticker (pogoer?). Replacing the fixed frame with a bungee cord, the My First Flybar will let you safely bounce higher by pulling harder. It is made from durable materials that are built to last and even squeaks delightfully as you bounce.
7. Tangle NightBall Basketball
Outdoor play doesn’t need to end when the sun goes down. With the Tangle NightBall’s built-in LED technology, your game of basketball can continue WAY past bedtime. Mom’s going to be thrilled! The ball is regulation-size and super durable, so it’s perfect for an evening pickup game.
8. Sunnylife Megaphone
The Aussie company Sunnylife designs all the essentials for the beaches of Sydney and has shared them with the rest of the world. This megaphone is perfect for the wanna-be lifeguard in your house. It’s simple to use and will most definitely get your message across.
9. Green Toys Dump Truck
As the name suggests, Green Toys are environmentally conscious takes on your favorite play vehicles. They are made in the USA from 100% recycled, BPA-free plastics. Their simple designs make them perfect for kids of all ages. The main ingredient in these trucks is milk jugs, and the company has recycled over 100,000,000 of them to date!
10. Little Tikes Fish ‘n Splash Water Table
Bring the fishing pond right to your backyard and let your kids learn a little more about the world around them with this classic American-made water table. With loads of games and activities to choose from, they will be satisfied for hours!
11. Mindware Superkid in Training
Now that we can run around on the streets again, we might be urged to fight a little crime. This action-packed game is broken down into different stations where kids learn various super skills, including strength and agility. So let’s get on a mask and cape and get to work!
12. Stomp Rocket Stunt Planes
It’s simple: run and jump onto the pad and launch your rocket up to 100 feet in the air! Each plane is designed to do a different bananas trick, whether it’s shooting super high, making giant loops, or redirecting itself mid-flight. This Nevada-based family business has been making the popular stomp rocket toy since 1993, and they have only been improving the design to really ramp up the wow-factor.
The best things never really go out of style, and that’s especially true when it comes to crafting!
